Back way talk

Back way talk simply refers to that silly childhood habit you and I once had, of saying words in reverse mode.

I know those of you that will be encountering this kind of term for the very first time, so I’ll endeavor to elucidate.

Back way talk is when you say "daso”, instead of "soda.” Do you now follow? Watch dis !!

Hip hop:

Although many of you know me as a man of the word, a scribbler, I’m also known to many more people as a dope Mic MC.

But just because I use the terms "dope” and "mic MC” does not mean I have anything to do with Hip hop and rap.

What I’m about to say is harsh and hard to say, it’s a statement that many fear to say, but Jah is my protector and I will fear not to say;

I hate Hip hop and I hate rappers because I’ve caught many rappers on stage and on television wearing lip gloss. Eeww!!

Another reason I do not tolerate rappers is that how can a man as muscled as 50 cent wear lip gloss? And why do they sing in those annoying, teeny tenor voices? Are they manly enough? In fact, are these peeps manly at all?

Outlish:

Outlish is the opposite of English. It is the form of English preferred by the free, like me and you. Wait, and you?

To speak Outlish is to pour scorn on standard Queen’s English because I hate the rigor and officialdom of the Queen’s standard English.

That is why in Outlish we "livicate” a song, as opposed to dedicating it, because "dedication” sounds close to "death”, while "livication” in the place of "dedication” sounds closer to life.

What do you think?

Also, in Outlish we don’t understand, because Outlish speakers consider "understand” a negative term. So we "overstand” instead.

Duterimbere:

Every morning, rain or sunshine, hundreds of brave, industrious mothers of this nation rise and majestically tread to the nearest microfinance institution, armed with nothing but brilliant business ideas that only need seeding.

Condos:

The first time I heard this word, my mind run off to something else, though not that which your gutter mind is thinking.

When I next heard of condominium, still my mind veered off to something else than the word’s actual meaning. Do you want to know what first came to my mind when I heard the word condominium?

I would have gone ahead and stated it here, but what’s the point when I know for a fact that my editor will strike it out?

James Karuhanga, a colleague at work first introduced me to the term "Quality condos” as he frequently writes about the subject.

More recently though, Athan Tashobya, another colleague introduced me to the term "quality office condos”.
