It will be the best of local R&B and hip hop as the Airtel Muzika tour heads to Rubavu, in the Northern Province.
The show that is slated for October 21, will take place at the Nengo Stadium opposite Tamu Tamu Beach in Rubavu.
US based Rwandan R&B sensation Meddy, real name Médard Jobert Ngabo, and local rapper Riderman, born Emery Gatsinzi, will be the main artistes.
After spending six years in the US where he is currently based, Meddy returned last month to a sold out homecoming show at the Mutzig Beer Fest in Nyamata on September 2.
Since then, he has embarked on a countrywide concert tour dubbed Airtel Musika, in partnership with local telecom service provider Airtel.
This will be Meddy’s third show under the tour. Last weekend, Meddy and Riderman thrilled fans in Huye District in the Southern Province as part of the tour.
The project is also sponsored by East African Promoters (EAP).
According to Joseph Mushyoma, the founder and CEO of East African Promoters, the main purpose of the show is to promote local artists and local music.
Entrance to the show is Rwf5, 000 for VIP, and Rwf3, 000 for regular.
