Dear Editor,

Through you, I would like to thank the Rwanda Revenue Authority for slashing the tax penalty percentage by half. A percentage of 100 was so high infact many taxpayers in the business sector were complaining about this issue.

It is in this regard that I also urge fellow taxpayers to pay their taxes promptly to avoid penalties. 50 percent is still high so let us declare and pay what is expected of us.

I would also like to thank the Private Sector Federation for solving our tax related issues. For sure it is a good advocate for the business community.
