Recently, I watched a sex education programme on Rwanda Television (RTV) and I really gratefully for the information passed by the station.
The language was rich to both adults and children yet simple to the audience. I liked the challenging tone of the presenters who were authorities in the field of parenthood as well as human body science.
I trusted their comments and think every one did, especially parents.
I wish RTV could always pass on such information to enlighten parents on issues they tend to see as sacred if not difficult to tackle. May be Rwandan parents will learn how to go about sex education with their children, without feeling embarrassed.
It is this embarrassment that most times forces parents to abandon the plan, thinking, how will i begin to talk about sex to my own children?
