Substitute Prince Rudasingwa came from the bench to score an 89th minute winner as Rayon Sports overcame out-of-form Police FC with a 2-1 victory in a tightly-contested game held at Kigali Pele Stadium on Sunday, February 11.
The win deepened Police FC’s losing streak, having failed to win a single game in the second round of the Primus National League.
Coach Julien Mette paraded a winsome squad with Aimable Nsabimana replacing skipper Abdul Rwatubyaye who recently left the club to rejoin Macedonian side FC Shkupi.

Police also welcomed talisman Muhadjiri Hakizimana who missed club’s 2-0 defeat to Mukura Victory in midweek encounter through a toe injury.
It was an evenly-matched game until Heritier Luvumbu powered the Blues ahead in the 53rd minute with a fabulous goal.
Rayon Sports’ lead didn’t take long as Police equalized in the 57th through Bosco Kayitaba.
The Blues made a couple of changes with Prince Rudasingwa coming on for Charles Bbaale in the 74th minute. The Rwanda U23 player was a delight to watch as he started to press the Police back four.
With one minute to full time, the youngster netted what proved to be the match winner as Rayon won 2-1.
Police FC are without a win in five games in the second round of the league campaign and their poor form saw them drop to fifth on the table with 32 points while Rayon are second with 39 points, six points behind leaders APR FC who have a game in hand.
Other games
Bugesera FC came to Kigali to beat Gasogi United 3-2. Striker Elijah Ani scored a hat-trick for the visitors to lead the top scoring charts with 13 goals, a goal ahead of APR’s Victor Mbaoma.
Elsewhere, Musanze FC travelled to Huye Stadium to beat Mukura Victory Sports 1-0 and maintain their title race alive. The win saw the Northern Province-based side keep their third place on the table with 37 points.
