The Rwandan football fraternity woke up to sad news of the death of Rayon Sports goalkeeper Evaliste Mutuyimana.

The former national team (Amavubi) player reportedly collapsed at home this morning and died.

According to the Rayon Sports physical trainer, Marcel Lomami, the player was alone at home when he died.

"He has died but we don’t have all details surrounding his death, we are still waiting for the doctors to let us know what happened exactly. It is sad news for Rayon and the entire sports fraternity,” Lomami said.

The 26-year-old also played for Police FC and Kenyan Premier League side, Sofapaka FC.
