The Rwandan rap community and followers are in for a treat as MaestroBoomin, one of the promising young rappers of Kigali, drops a collabo with OTF’s Chief Wuk.
The song, dubbed ‘In My Zone’, premiered on all major streaming platforms this Friday, and is MaestroBoomin’s entry on the US music market, which is the biggest for trappers (musicians making trap music) globally.

Chief Wuk, also known as Wukaduk, is among artistes signed to OTF (Only the Family), an American hip hop group from Chicago, Illinois, formed by American rapper Lil Durk in 2010.
Speaking to The New Times, the Kigali rapper said that the collabo resulted from a new partnership he recently secured with Green Mountain Entertainment (GME), a new record label with ambitions of taking the local music scene to greater heights by connecting young Rwandan rappers to big US musicians.
"Joka$$h created a good beat, and I recorded my part with Ehlers. I sent everything to Wuk to record and that’s how the song came to life,” the rapper said, adding that the production work was initiated by Divin Ngabonziza, founder of GME.
Maestroboomin went on to say that the feature is just the beginning of his goal to achieve overdue recognition in the "Western” markets and make his sound global.

&039;In My Zone' drops a few days after the artiste also released a track with Rwandan hip hop sensation, Riderman, in what he described as a move to take over the local market.
"I wanted to first capture the eyes of the local public and then move on to the international stage. I’m grateful to Riderman for jumping on one of my tracks,” MaestroBoomin said.
Recorded in both Kigali and Los Angeles, ‘In My Zone’ was produced by JoKa$$h and mastered by Ehlers.
