Dear Counsellor,

My husband was recently transferred to another country, and he has about two weeks to leave. We have three kids together. I have never been in a long distance relationship, besides, this is my husband, not a boyfriend. He will only be able to come home once a year. This is really worrying me as I know how ‘long distance’ can affect a marriage. I worry about infidelity, as we both have needs. I’m not saying I will cheat on him but how long can one survive without intimacy? I’m so used to it. I feel like asking him not to go but he will think I’m not happy for him. How can I put my concerns across without sounding like a dotting wife?
