Police FC head coach Vincent Mashami has hinted on the reason why his deputy skipper Muhadjiri Hakizimana missed the 2-0 defeat to Mukura Victory Sports at Huye Stadium on Thursday, February 8.

Mashami admitted that not having Muhadjiri for the Primus National League game affected his side and they further lost goalkeeper Onesime Rukundo and central midfielder Eric Nsabimana through injury in the course of the game.

"Losing Muhadjiri was a great challenge, he didn&039;t play because he had a toe injury in the win over APR. We used him in the Etincelles game but it didn't work out. Against Mukura we lost our goalkeeper and also Eric Nsabimana," Mashami told the Press.

Mashami further emphasized that Sunday's game against city rivals Rayon Sports is very tough and it is better they put the defeat against Mukura behind them and prepare for the Blues.

"We have to quickly forget about the defeat against Mukura and focused on Sunday's game against Rayon Sports."

"The game didn't go well for us because Mukura Victory Sports scored twice in the first half. If a team like Mukura scores you two, is difficult to come back, they are strong at home and have fans support." He added

Police FC is without a win after four games in the second round of the 2023/24 Primus National League and they have slipped to fifth with 32 points.
