Kwita Izina
Today, all roads lead to Kinigi, Musanze District, for the annual baby mountain gorilla naming ceremony, Kwita Izina. In its third edition, this year’s Kwita Izina ceremony will see 19 baby gorillas named as part of continued efforts to rally for the conservation of the endangered species. Young people will be naming gorillas, a move designed to encourage the youth to take on and sustain conservation efforts.
First Friday Art Exhibition
Happening today at Café Neo’s rooftop, the First Friday art exhibition is back with a group of three artists teaming up to showcase their pieces. Come support local talent by joining the trio Paccy Love Ndiwimana, Serge Niyonsaba and Celestine Mutezimana, as they share their world to you on canvas at 6:30pm.
Mutzig Beer Fest
The annual Beer Fest is finally here. Tomorrow, Golden Tulip La Palisse Kigali Hotel in Nyamata is the place to be, where US-based singer, Meddy, will be the main act, alongside several other local artistes and Kenyan house, funk and disco group, Just a Band. Tickets are already on sale at different outlets in town.
Movies
Have fun with family and friends as you watch the latest movies, ’Baby Driver’, ‘Gentleman’, ‘The Hitman’s Bodyguard’, and ‘The Dark Tower’ premiering this Friday at Century Cinema, Kigali located at Kigali City Tower. Other movies to look out for include ‘The House’, ‘Valerian’, ‘War for the Planet of the Apes’ and ‘Spiderman Homecoming.’

Are you a nightclub fan? Kigali has a number of nightclubs where you can dance the night away. They include O-Zone, The Junction, Masters Lounge, Chillax Lounge, K-Club, Envy Club, People’s Club and Ogopogo.
