As luck may have it, Martin saw his father’s car packed in the compound and realized that both his parents were at home. As soon as Kaka’s father packed his car, Martin ran ahead to inform his parents about the visitors he had brought home.

Kaka was really nervous now because he was sure that Martin’s parents could be having different plans for their son’s holiday and that it may be difficult to change their minds.

Kaka wanted so much to go with his best friend to Kampala and show him the places he had always talked about. He remembered the thing they always did when praying for something good to happen.

Though he did not know how, Kaka and many of his friends would cross their small finger over the fourth finger and pray that whatever they were asking for would happen.

So as soon as they entered they entered the sitting room, Kaka crossed his fingers and prayed. Martin’s mother was happy to see Martins best friend because of the many stories she had heard and to see that Kaka was getting on well with his broken leg.

After they had said their greetings, Martin took Kaka around the house and the two boys were leaving, they winked to Kaka’s father as a sign that he should do his best.

Martin was sure his parents would not refuse him the chance of going to Kampala for the first time. He told Kaka not to look so worried and to cheer up. All Kaka would say was "until they say yes, we are going no where together so we should pray”.

Latter while in Martins bedroom, they heard Martins mother calling for them to come to the sitting room. They would have run to the sitting room had it not been the fact that Kaka had to use clutches in order to move.

When they walked into the room, their eyes went straight to where Kaka’s father was sitting and to reassure them, he winked which was a sign that things had worked out well.

Martin’s father cleared his voice and without looking at them, said "You two should promise me one thing and that is to be obedient and out of trouble” to which they both said they would.

So martin’s mother told him to go and pack because he would have to spend the night at Kaka’s place.
