Strong Voice, a family reggae band, will launch their latest album, Ukuri at Mulindi Japan One Love Project (Kwa rasta) this Saturday.

Strong Voice is comprised of three brothers; Heritier Dusabimana; the band leader, Patrick Nteziryayo, and Pacifique Niyigena. Ukuri is the band’s second album after African Child, a 14-track offering which was recorded in Burundi, at Dreamland Studios in 2011, whereas their latest album was recorded at the band’s own studio, Strong Records in Kigali. It has nine songs; Oh Rwanda, Umuhigi, Baje Africa, Ntawe bitabera, Ukuri, One more chance, Vampire time, Impanvu, and Only one.

The launch will also be graced by guest appearances from rapper Bac T, the Kwanda Band, and 2T Reggae Artist.

The show kicks off at 6p.m, and will close at midnight. Entrance fee is Rwf3,000 (single) and Rwf5,000 (couple).

Strong Voice Band started out as the Kidz Voice Band, way back in 2006. However in 2013, the brothers changed the name of the band from Kidz Voice to Strong Voice Band.

Some of the band’s earlier releases include Uhoraho tabara, Amahoro, and Reggae Prophet.
