Gisagara and Nyanza bagged Frw 150,000 each after emerging top in the final round of the good governance provincial volleyball tournament that climaxed last Sunday at the National University of Rwanda (UNR).

Gisagara took the men’s accolade after beating Kigali’s Nyarugenge 3-2 while Nyanza over ran Rwamagana by a similar score to snatch the ladies’ trophy.

Losing finalists; Nyarugenge and Rwamagana pocketed Frw 100,000 for their efforts.The two-day tournament attracted seven teams; five in the men’s category and two in the ladies’ section.

It was jointly organized by the southern province, ministry of local government (Minaloc), the ministry of Sports and Culture (Minispoc) and the local volleyball federation (FRVB).
