RWANDA’s professional golfers are in Uganda to compete in the prestigious MTN Mug of mugs.

Emmanuel Ruterana and Jean Baptist Hakizimana traveled to Uganda’s capital, Kampala yesterday morning and are part of twelve professionals contending for the Shs 10m cash prize at stake in the four-day golf show piece at Kitante Golf course.

After a three-day training stint on the Par 72 golf course, Ruterana who is sponsored by BCR feels that he is capable of putting up a good performance.

"Last week, I spent some good time on the course trying out a few shots so I think my game will come together in this competition,” he said.

The event has four rounds and the first round starts this morning with an 18-hole competition.
