BRALIRWA the country’s sole brewer and beverage company has introduced a new energy drink called ‘burn’.
Burn is a combination of energizing ingredients, among which is caffeine, designed to invigorate senses and boost energy and concentration both in body and mind.
Bralirwa’s Commercial Director, Alexander Koch said during last week’s launch that Burn is a going to be a strategy to have an optimized portfolio of Bralir
wa’s products to meet the ever increasing market demand. He added that burn was created for individuals who want to have fun and stay alert for life’s excitement.
"It caters for a trend–setting audience, the drink represents a common ground among people searching for the party or happening atmosphere,” Koch said.
The ‘burn’ brand is available in 25cl black stylish can stamped with a dynamic powerful flame. Burn is being introduced in Rwanda to meet a specific market demand. The local beverage market has been growing and developing fast and has a lot of opportunities, according to officials.
The Burn drink is brewed and imported from South Africa and it will be available through usual commercial outlets at a recommended retail price of Rwf1000.
Koch noted that the new energizing drink is not an addictive drink but also advised people who don’t take coffee as their drink and pregnant women not take the drink because of side effects.
The launch of burn soft drink was supported by an integrated marketing campaign with a tagline "Can you feel the heat” which invites consumers to just grab a can of burn and get the energy to keep going.
Burn has joined the family of a number of soft drinks which includes coca-cola, Fanta orange, Fanta citron, Sprite and crest tonic produced in partnership with The Coca-cola company and own brand Vital.
In Africa, the drink is sold in South Africa, Egypt, Morocco, Nigeria, Kenya and now Rwanda.
