Rwandan midfielder Djabel Manishimwe has signed a short-term deal with Iraqi Premier League side Al-Quwa Al Jawiya FC.

Manishimwe, 25, appended his signature to a six-month deal with the Baghdad-based club on Monday, February 5 as a free agent.

The former APR skipper's contract with Algerian outfit USM Kenchela was terminated on January 31st after struggling to make an impact in the team following his move from APR FC in August 2023.

The Rwanda international is expected to play a key role in the setup of Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya as they hope to win the league title after finishing second in the 2022/23 season.

The club currently sit top of the league table with 30 points after 12 games.
