On Sunday, July 23, Augustine Kayinamura boarded Ndayiramiye’s commercial motorcycle in downtown Kigali heading to Nyabugogo. Unfortunately, along the way, the motorcycle was involved in an accident when it was hit by a bus.

The accident left Kayinamura unconscious, and Ndayiramiye immediately secured the envelope that the passenger had. Later, he noticed there was large sums of cash in the envelope.

Ndayiramiye said he made the decision after a crowd gathered at the scene of the accident.
