President Paul Kagame is an orator with a magnetic personality. He is the RPF-Inkotanyi’s candidate in the ongoing presidential campaigns. Recently, the President’s inspirational quotes were the focus of an art exhibition at Umubano Hotel in Kigali.
Dubbed ‘Ijambo Ritatse Ikamba’, the exhibition was organized by Ikamba, a startup creative company to showcase President Kagame’s impact on Rwandans, and other nations at large through some of his inspirational quotes.
The quotes were digitally illustrated on printed t-shirts and on laser woodcuts for people to easily see the messages.
Brigitte Kamaraba, the Chief Executive Officer and co-founder of Ikamba, said the initiative was launched to recognise President Kagame for what he has done for Rwandans.
"We joined our minds together and came up with a lot of ideas and activities that would inspire people in different ways. This time, our focus was on President Kagame’s quotes because he is one of the greatest people in this country and, worldwide. So, we wanted to promote and spread his messages on printed t-shirts and laser woodcuts so people can get inspiration from what he says,” Kamaraba said.
Dolph Banza, a visual artist and the brain behind the artwork told The New Times he was happy that a lot of people turned up and loved the artwork.
"There is nothing that makes an artist happier than seeing people excitedly admiring their artwork. So, thank you for supporting us,” he said.
