Rwanda internationals Danny Usengimana and Michel Rusheshangoga have promised to deliver in their first season with Tanzania’s newly promoted Premier League side Singida United.
The pair left the country on Monday to join their new team that started pre-season training at the start of the month in Mwanza.
"Singida signed me to score goals and I promise to work hard every day to repay the faith that the club has invested in me,” Usengimana, 21, said at his unveiling on Tuesday.
The former Police FC forward added, "I have played at home (Rwanda) for some time and I have delivered but time came when I thought I needed a new challenge. It is now time to continue to deliver away from Rwanda. I am sure this club will get better.”
Rusheshangoga said that: "Singida United is a nice club and I am well aware of the expectations of the club.”
Both Rusheshangoga and Usengimana were unveiled on Tuesday afternoon after joining the rest of the team in Mwanza.
Right back Rusheshangoga, 23, has been one of the most consistent players in the Azam Rwanda Premier League since joining APR FC during the 2011/2012 season from Isonga FC.
