Launch of Rwandatel GSM operations well-timed

Rwandatel will today launch its GSM operations. To celebrate this great achievement Rwandatel will tonight treat its customers to a music extravaganza dubbed “Rwandatel RevivalFest” at Amahoro stadium. All roads will surely lead to the stadium, where international music icons, Sean Paul and Kofi Olomide, are expected to perform for about 25 000 Rwandatel customers. The stars performance will herald a new era in Rwanda’s telecommunications industry as she grows from strength to strength. Products and services on offer will include; voicemail, SMS, Email, fax and data, calling line identity and international roaming.

Rwandatel will today launch its GSM operations. To celebrate this great achievement Rwandatel will tonight treat its customers to a music extravaganza dubbed "Rwandatel RevivalFest” at Amahoro stadium.

The significance of Rwandatel’s launch of a new GSM service can never be underestimated. It simply means more players on the market.

More players means competition, it means service providers are kept on their feet in the provision of quality services. It could also mean lower tariffs for customers and increased incentives in the form of exclusive packages from competing service providers.

Rwandatel promises to roll out its services to the rest of the country before the end of the first two months of 2009. This means connecting to the rural areas too.

Making doing business in any part of the country more efficient and profitable. In line with Rwanda’s vision of becoming a regional ICT hub, the country’s development efforts have indeed received a boost.

In  this  century only a country with advanced telecommunications can do business efficiently with the right well connected partners, to the benefit of her citizens.
