Rwandan nationals living Botswana and friends of Rwanda, last week joined marked the 23rd commemoration of the Genocide against the Tutsi.
The Commemoration took place at Marua Pula High School in the Gaborone and was attended by more than 100 participants that included students, teachers and government officials.
A Candle of hope was lit as a movie that showed the role of the media in preparing and implementing the Genocide against the Tutsi was shown.
Dr James Nkusi, the Head of the Rwandan Community living in Botswana revealed how genocide against the Tutsi wasn’t an accident but how it was planned for a long time and the crucial role that the Rwanda Patriotic front played in stopping it and the county’s progress so far.
