The 90-day promo seeks to reward participants with exciting rewards, including daily cash prizes ranging from Rwf100,000 to Rwf8 million and monthly prizes of Rwf1 million to Rwf8 million, the telecom firm said in statement. A jackpot cash prize, ranging from Rwf5 million to Rwf20 million will be up for grabs on the final day of the promotion.
Yaw Ankoma Agyapong, the Tigo chief commercial officer, said the promo is an opportunity for the firm to give back to customers and "empower them to achieve their dreams and aspirations”.
"As we grow, we want our customers to grow with us,” he added at the launch of the promo yesterday.
How to participate
To participate, customers have to send an SMS to 155 daily or call 155 or dial *155# and follow prompts. "Each entry costs Rwf100 with unlimited entries allowed per day,” the firm explained. Customers who participate each day will be entered into a random draw to select three daily winners of Rwf100,000 each.
In addition to the daily prizes, every 30 days three customers will be selected in a random draw from those who participated during the period.
The three winners will have an opportunity to spin the wheels, and one of them will play for a chance to win cash prizes from Rwf1 million to Rwf8 million, the statement added.
On the last day of the promo, three customers will be selected through a random draw from among all those who participated during the last 90 days.
Of the three, one of them will stand to win a cash prize, ranging from Rwf5 million to Rwf20 million, after spinning the wheels.
