Sean Paul jets in tonight for a concert

Sean Paul, the Jamaican born reggae dancehall musician, is expected to perform this Friday, 5th December in Kigali. His concert, aptly named “Turi Kumwe”, is one of the highlights of the launch of Rwandatel 3G and GSM mobile services technology.

Sean Paul, the Jamaican born reggae dancehall musician, is expected to perform this Friday, 5th December in Kigali. His concert, aptly named "Turi Kumwe”, is one of the highlights of the launch of Rwandatel 3G and GSM mobile services technology.

The "Turi Kumwe” at Amahoro Stadium, will bring together artist from the region like Bebe Cool from Uganda, Koffi Olomide from DRC, Kidumu from Burundi but the local artist haven’t been given a back seat; Miss Jojo and the King of Coga style "Rafiki”, will be rocking their fans as well. 

"The "Gimme the Light” singer, who is on his African tour, is expected at Kigali International Airport this evening.

"He is expected to surprise Rwandans with new songs like "Hit ‘Em” which feature, as guest artists, his brothers Jigzazula and Fahrenheit”, Cleophas Kabasiita, the Public Relations Manager of Rwandatel revealed.

Sean Paul will be traveling with an entourage of 22 people. It is going to be the first time such a high profile artist performs here in Kigali and Rwandans are sure to be thrilled to see the 35-year old perform.

The renowned artist of Afro-Caribbean origin has been busy working on his new album the "The Next Thing” where he features artists like 50 Cent, Justin Timberlake, Pussycat Dolls, Akon, Snoop Dogg and Brandy.

Sean Paul was born in Kingston, Jamaica.
