The World’s football governing body has confirmed that national football academy meets the requirements and is ready to start operations, according to Fifa Senior Manager in Africa’s Development Programmes, Cyril Loisel.

Loisel made the announcement after inspecting the facility, saying that the national technical centre is ready to start with the development of youth football in the country.

"The technical centre is in good shape and everything is in place for it to go operational,” she told Times Sport after the inspection on Tuesday.

Fifa has finally approved the disbursement of $ 400,000 to the local football house, Ferwafa as part of the Goal Project III. According to Loisel, the money will help in developing the technical centre for the duration of three years.

Meanwhile, Fifa is helping Ferwafa to set structures for a professional league set to start next season. The project supports the development of national leagues, with training and equipment.

"We want to provide a new system of registration and printing of license which will help in making a good database for all Rwandan football players,” said the Fifa official.

Narsil technology has been charged with the work of making a new system, printing of licenses and making a good database for the national football league players.

"Ferwafa has been doing a good job in the elevation football in the country and this is a good step for reinforcing professionalism,” added Loisel.
