Renowned Pastor Ezra Mpyisi has gone to be with the Lord, it emerged Saturday, January 27, in the afternoon. Tributes flowed to his family after the sad news started trickling in earlier.

Pastor Mpyisi turned 100 on Saturday, February 19, 2022.

Pastor Mpyisi was one of the founding members of Inteko Izirikana, an association of retired elderly people that educates Rwanda’s youth about the country’s cultural values and norms. The association was founded in 2001.

He has been a respected elder in the Seventh-Day Adventist community where he served as a pastor for several decades.
