Editor,

RE: "Genocide: Child born out of rape, mother recollect the painful journey to healing” (The New Times, 25 May).

Your story about a Genocide victim, Hellenah Mukansigaye, and her son Peter is most touching.

The story has come out while we are preparing for the second edition of Rwanda Calling 2017 which will take place during the second half of June.

I have discussed this very sad story with our delegation and it is a pleasure to share with you , as well as with your esteemed readers, that during Rwanda Calling next month, we shall arrange to hand over an amount of Rwf108,000 to Hellenah Mukansigaye and her dear son, Peter.

No amount of money will ever be enough to heal the scars and make  Mukansigaye forget all the trauma she had to go through, but this token of support will be symbolic that even in far away Mumbai there are people who feel the pain Mukansigaye and ever so many other innocent victims of the Genocide had to endure.

It would be appreciated if your writer could get in touch with the undersigned to facilitate the process.
