RE: "RNP launches campaign to promote road safety” (The New Times, May 24)

Sometimes noncompliance to traffic rules is due to lack of knowledge of the same rules. Campaigns of this kind are very much needed to address the issue.

Motorcyclists and pedestrians constitute the largest number of road users and they are the most vulnerable groups as the statistics indicate, but on the other hand they are the ones that ignore/violate the rules.

Thanks to the Police for this strategy of raising awareness of the public.
