"It&039;s an opportunity that was too good to turn down. Mazembe is a big name in African football," Umubyeyi told Times Sport.
The shot stopper arrived in Lubumbashi on Thursday, January 25, where she completed her move to the club and immediately had her first training session with the rest of the team in the afternoon of the same day.
Umubyeyi previously had successful spells with defunct Scandinavia WFC and Tanzanian side Tigers Sports Academy.
She is the latest Rwandan woman to play in the DR Congo, following fellow goalkeeper Claudine Itangishaka, who previously played for Lupopo WFC.
Itangishaka currently plies her trade at Rayon Sports WFC.
