Apuculi’ hitmaker, Okkama has announced the release of his first Extended Play( EP) that is expected to be out on February 2.
The EP dubbed ‘Ahwii’ is made of eight tracks of which all are singles that the artiste looks forward to share with his fans adding to a couple of hits he has made. The singer has not yet shared the EP’s tracklist.

Talking to The New Times, the 23-year-old singer, real name Ossama Masut Khalid, shared that the EP’s title was inspired by what he had gone through in the year of 2023.
He said that he encountered unpleasant experiences when he worked with unserious people, and that made him to feel like he was falling; however, he now believes it is time to rise up regardless of what happened.
"I planned to release my EP when my former label decided to release samples of my work in a way of abusing my art last year,” said Okkama.
The singer also revealed that he part ways with MetroAfro entertainment label which he joined in June, 2023, for not being able to do what they had agreed upon and delaying his plans as an artist.
The singer is set to host an acoustic show to premiere this highly anticipated Extended Play on the day it is released at Kaso in Kicukiro.
Okkama's musical journey began after completing studies at Nyundo School of Art and Music. Gifted with a soulful and dynamic voice, Okkama effortlessly combines elements of R&B and Afrobeat to create a distinct sound that resonates with listeners.
He is known for songs like ‘Apuculi’, ‘Tsaper’, ‘Mesaje’ ‘Wallah’ and ‘No’ among others.
