RE: "Clerics who committed genocide should be excommunicated” (The New Times, April 13). For me – and no doubt many other Rwandans – the sincerity of the Pope’s recent expression of remorse for his Church’s utter failure in the Genocide against the Tutsi will be demonstrated only by concrete action on clergy against whom there are credible accusations of involvement in that heinous crime but whose cases the Church has hitherto done all in its considerable power to block.
