Struggling Mukura Victory Sports have offloaded Burundian striker Emmanuel Ngama due to indiscipline, according to the club secretary general, Fidel Niyobungingo.

Niyobungingo, while confirming Ngama’s release, revealed that, "He (Ngame) been getting warning letters on several occasions and even served a suspension over (allegations of) misleading teammates and disobedience, so the club has decided to terminate his contract.”

"He has let the club and himself down so many times. The club was not happy with his behaviors and it is not the first time he has failed to follow club rules, so we’ve decided that letting him leave would be in the best interest of the club,” Niyobuhungiro noted.

Mukura Victory Sports, who are struggling in 12th place in the league table, host third from bottom Marines FC at Huye Stadium on Sunday. Victory for Marines would see them leapfrog Kiyovu while Mukura will need to win to go five points clear of the relegation zone.

Ngama, who joined the Huye-based club from Kenyan side Tusker FC last season and still had six months left on his contract.

Ivan Mineart’s Mukura lost their last match 4-1 against AS Kigali. Striker Bernabe Mubumbyi become the first player to scored four goals in one match—the former APR FC forward netted in the 22nd, 26th, 30th and 90th minutes while Hussein Cyiza scored Mukura’s consolation goal in the 80th minute.

Marines were also beaten 2-1 by Gicumbi FC at Umuganda Stadium. Elsewhere on Sunday, Aloys Kanamugire’s SC Kiyovu, in 13th place with 22 points, four above the relegation zone, faces ninth-placed Etincelles (26 points) at Mumena stadium.
