A Cabinet meeting on Wednesday appointed Col. Chance Ndagano as acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for the national carrier, RwandAir, replacing long serving John Mirenge.
A cabinet meeting on Wednesday appointed Col. Chance Ndagano the acting chief executive officer for the national carrier, RwandAir, replacing long serving John Mirenge.
The meeting, held at Village Urugwiro and chaired by President Paul Kagame, also appointed Lt Col Sylvere Mugiraneza as the airline’s deputy CEO in charge of operations, while Yvonne Manzi Makolo was named deputy CEO in charge of corporate affairs.
Ndagano has been a judge at the military tribunal, while Makolo has been chief marketing officer at MTN Rwanda.
Mirenge has been the CEO of RwandAir since October 2010.
Dr Emmanuel Muvunyi was appointed executive director of Higher Education Council (HEC), replacing Dr Innocent Mugisha.
Muvunyi has been the head of Examinations and Accreditation Department at the Rwanda Education Board (REB), where he was replaced by Dr Michael Tusiime.
Claudette Irere has been appointed as the director general/ICT at the Ministry of Youth and ICT, while Innocent Bagamba Muhizi was appointed the CEO of Rwanda Information Society Authority (RISA).
Omar Munyaneza was appointed as board chair, Rwanda Water and Sanitation Corporation.
