RE: "For French crimes in CAR, some animals are more equal than others” (The New Times, March 26).

In reality the ICC can never be so reckless as to inflict any embarrassment on any of its main paymasters and power-players of the Western alliance. It knows its only mandate is to go after Africans without unconditional backing from powerful permanent members of the UN Security Council or any others who have lost the favor of those who give the ICC its marching orders—whether the target is from a non-member state of the ICC or the state giving the marching orders to the ICC is itself a member of the so-called court or not.

That is why the ICC is nothing more than a modern-day Star Chamber, providing pseudo-judicial cover to pure geopolitical aggression. Interestingly, it would have to wind up were its exclusive targets to disown it. Talk about turkeys continuously enabling Christmas!
