Rwanda Beach Volleyball national teams (Male and Female categories) will start preparations today ahead of this year’s Zone V Championships scheduled for April 13-16 in Kampala, Uganda.
The Men’s teams will comprise the Gisagara Volleyball Club duo of captain Flavier Ndamukunda and his young brother Patrick Kavalo as well as Fils Habanzintwari (APR VC) and Fred Ruff Muvunyi (Kirehe VC).
Rwanda Revenue Authority (RRA) pair of Charlotte Ndayisenga and Judith Hakizimana as well as Denyse Mutatsimpundu (APR) and Benitha Mukandayisenga (St Aloys de Rwamagana), make the women teams.
"They will start training today. They have all been playing in the national league with their respective teams, so there is nothing to worry about regarding their fitness levels,” said the Rwanda Volleyball Federation technical director, Gertrude Kubwimana.
The four-day tournament will attract teams from Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania and hosts Uganda.
