Rwanda Football Federation (FERWAFA) has launched the national D coaching license course. The course started on Monday at FERWAFA headquarters and will run until Friday March 31.
The five-day course has attracted 32 upcoming coaches and is being conducted by the CAF coaches instructor Antoine Rutsindura.
Some of the known coaches attending the national D coaching License course include former SC Kiyovu player Hubert Nshizirungu, former Police FC forward Leandre Sekamana, Abdoulkarim Fikiri, former APR FC and AS Kigali player Ismael Nshutinamagara and Sasha Dusange, among others.
The national D coaching license course is the first licensing course offered to upcoming coaches to understand the technical and tactical demands of the game and the developmental process necessary for players.
It will also provide an understanding of practical coaching methodology and the framework necessary to prepare players and a team for competition. It will also prepare coaches for their final coaching course before they pursue advanced Caf C coaching courses.
The course is open to any person over 18 years of age having football playing experience, a passion for football, an interest in coaching and the motivation to improve skills and understanding.
