The brewer made the pledge after Rayon Sports Women FC secured a hard fought 2-1 victory over AS Kigali in a women’s topflight league clash held at Kigali Pele Stadium on Saturday, January 13.
In response to their performance, SKOL Brewery&039;s General Manager, Eric Gilson, presented a bonus of Rwf3,000,000 to the women's team during a celebratory dinner.
"The Rwf3 million bonus reflects SKOL's dedication to promoting gender equality, treating women and men equally, with the same amount committed to the winner," Gilson said.
Moreover, SKOL Brewery Ltd has committed to offering an additional bonus if Rayon Sports Women FC clinch the league title.
"This is in line with our ongoing commitment to fostering equality within sports,” he added.

Historically, performance bonuses for male and female teams differed, as revealed by documents obtained by The New Times.
SKOL&039;s new policy ensures that both men and women teams receive comparable bonuses for their achievements.
For instance, the men's team used to receive Rwf35 million for winning both the league title and peace cup, and Rwf8 million for reaching the peace cup final.
The women's team would receive Rwf13 million for winning both titles and Rwf3 million for reaching the peace cup final.
While the men’s team receives Rwf1,800,000 in bonuses for each victory against top teams like APR FC, Mukura FC, Police FC, Musanze FC and Kiyovu Sports, SKOL also extended the bonuses to the women's team as a reward of beating big clubs like title rivals AS Kigali women.
