Rwanda Football Federation president Vincent Nzamwita has urged local coaches, particularly the twelve (12) that were on Monday awarded CAF A Coaching Licenses to exhibit commitment and professionalism in their daily work.

Nzamwita told the coaches that they are now licensed professional practitioners, and urged them to use that knowledge to develop players and improve their respective teams.

"This is one of their highest achievement that will enable them improve Rwandan football, we shall work together with them to promote youth football in every corner of the country. It is now up to them to work with full commitment and make better use of the knowledge they acquired,” said Nzamwita.

He noted that, "FERWAFA is committed to continue empowering coaches and will continue to work with CAF to get more courses and other opportunities for our coaches.”

The awarded coaches include; Jean Baptiste Kayiranga (Free), Vincent Mashami (Bugesera FC), Abdou Mbarushimana (AS Muhanga) and Andre Casa Mungo (Sunrise FC), Eric Nshimiyimana (AS Kigali), Godefroid Okoko (Gicumbi), Yves Rwasamanzi (APR FC assistant coach) and Innocent Seninga (Police FC).

Others are: Abdou Bizimana (head coach Virunga, DR Congo), Ally Bizimana (Free), Justin Bisengimana (Police FC assistant coach), Sosthene Habimana (Musanze FC).

These coaches had excelled in last year’s two-week second phase of the CAF A Coaching License which was conducted by FIFA/CAF instructor Joseph Mukeba, who was assisted by Burundian Mohsin Mupenda and Rwandan Antoine Rutsindura.

Currently, Rwanda has 133 certified coaches across all the three CAF licensing system levels namely; CAF C (114), CAF B (7) and CAF A (12).
