Azam Premier League title hopefuls Police FC head coach Innocent Seninga has warned that his side will be looking for nothing less than win against Musanze when both sides meet on Friday at Stade de Kigali.

Police, who are in third place with 39 points, one point behind second-placed APR FC, will be looking to win and move above the defending champions who against bottom side Pepiniere on Sunday.

Seninga said: "We have to take it game by game and our goal is to win Friday’s match against a really well organised Musanze. My players know what our targets are for the season. It’s not easy, but we will try to get as many points on board as possible.”

"It is still early on in the season but we are in a very good position to push (for the title). We are still in the running for the title,” said the former SC Kiyovu and Etincelles tactician.

Both teams will go into the game coming off the back of key wins from their last outings – Police defeated Mukura Victory Sports 2-1 while Musanze beat SC Kiyovu 3-2.

Musanze FC, under head coach Sosthene ‘Lumumba’ Habimana, who is targeting a top four finish in this season, are in fifth place in the 16-team league table with 32 points after 20 rounds of matches.

Police FC comfortably won the corresponding fixture 3-1 at Nyakinama ground onNovember 27, but Habimana is hoping for a change in fortunes.

"It is always hard to play against Police,” he said. "Nonetheless, our aim remains the same: to finish in the top places.

Meanwhile, the Saturday fixtures have been pushed on Sunday and Monday due to the CAF Confederation Cup first round second leg between Rayon Sports and AS Onze Créateurs de Niaréla of Mali, on Saturday at Amahoro National Stadium.

Rayon, who are three points clear at the summit of the national league table with two games in hand, lost the first leg 1-0 away to Mali last week.
