A delegation of Indian investors is expected in the country next month to explore investment and business opportunities. According to Clarence Fernandes, the Rwanda Renaissance chief, a firm that markets Rwanda in India, the delegation of 30 people will comprise of business and religious leaders. They are interested in areas, including ICT, agriculture, manufacturing, and real estate, among others. They will also visit Kibeho Holy Shrine in Nyaruguru District.

Fernandes said the visit presents the local business community an opportunity to network and establish trade partnerships with their Indian counterparts.
The investors will arrive in the country on April 5, taking advantage of RwandAir’s direct commercial flights to Mumbai that is planned to begin on April 1.
Ivan Mugisha, RwandAir’s country manager in India, said the airline is delighted "to fly this group of investors to Kigali on our first direct flight from Mumbai”.
Mugisha added that the national carrier is committed to providing passengers from India a unique experience on the Mumbai-Kigali route or any other destinations in Africa operated by RwandAir.
Meanwhile, RwandAir will also start flights to Harare, Zimbabwe on April 3. The two new destinations will take RwandAir’s growing network to 21. The airline will ply the Mumbai route using Bombardier and Boeing Next Generation fleet that offer a state-of-the art dual class cabin.
