After pulling off a shock win against women volleyball league defending champions RRA last weekend, Groupe Scolaire St Aloys will be seeking to turn tables against APR when the two sides meet today at Amahoro Indoor Stadium in Remera.

RRA saw their three-match unbeaten run come to an end at the hands of the Rwamagana-based Groupe Scolaire St. Aloys, who stunned them 3-2 on Sunday.

Coach Eugene Ngendahayo says his youthful side will be keen to replicate the same form against second-placed APR and then IPRC-Kigali. "It will be a tough game but the objective is to try and get three points against APR. We will go into the match believing that we can beat them as we did last weekend against RRA,” vowed Ngendahayo.

RRA lead the table with 13 points, one ahead of APR with Groupe Scolaire St Aloys de Rwamagana in third place with 9 points. Fourth-placed Ruhango have 8 points while IPRC-Kigali are in fifth place with three points and St. Joseph bottom without a point.

Elsewhere, Ruhango, RRA and St. Joseph will play against each at Ruhango High School.

Meanwhile, matches in the men’s league for this weekend have been postponed to allow defending champions University of Kibungo UNIK) to prepare for the upcoming 2017 Men’s African Club Championship that will be held on March 15-28 in Tunis, Tunisia.

The team is camping at Pacis Plaza in Remera and is doing daily training sessions at Amahoro Indoor Stadium under the guidance of head coach Dominique Ntawangundi.
