Agatako has landed another nomination in one of Uganda’s most credible awards for urban Music.

The Kinyarwanda hit, by local artiste Pius Rickie Rukabuza aka DJ Pius and Ugandan music star Joseph Mayanja, better known by his stage name Jose Chameleone, was nominated for the Zzina Awards, in the ‘Best collaboration’ category.

The nominees were announced, last weekend, at a ceremony held at the Galaxy FM offices in Kansanga, Kampala, Uganda.

Agatako was nominated alongside Byagana by Ziza Bafana featuring Radio & Weasel, Farmer (remix) – by Ykee Benda and Sheebah, Gudi Gudde by Kalifah Aganaga, Radio & Weasel, Mulimu K by Mary Bata and Nutty Neithan, Tempo by Dufla Diligon and Cindy, WaddaWa by Chozen & Sheebah, and What Did You Do by Fille and Nutty Neithan.

According to the organisers of the awards, the artistes were nominated and voted for by Galaxy FM listeners.

Artistes will be voted for via the Galaxy FM Facebook page, and the winners will be announced at a ceremony slated for Friday, April 7 at Theatre La’Bonita, in Kampala.

The song was previously nominated in the Hip Hop Awards in the category of ‘Best Afro beat’.
