Gasogi United will welcome Muhazi United to Kigali Pele Stadium on Thursday, January 18 at 3:00 pm in a first leg match of the 2023/24 Rwanda Peace Cup.
The home side booked their ticket to the second round by seeing off second tier club Tsinda Batsinde FC, while Muhazi United were exempted from the first qualifying round.

In the past 16 meetings between the two clubs, Muhazi has won four, drawn five and lost seven while Gasogi has the better record with seven wins, five draws and four defeats.
Gasogi are coming into the game with confidence following their 2-1 victory over Rayon Sports in the domestic league on Friday, January 12. Meanwhile, Muhazi also comes into the game in a fairly good situation, having drawn 1-1 with Kiyovu on the weekend.
Muhazi will rely on the likes of midfielder Joseph Sackey, skipper Romeo Nduwimana, striker Onesime Twizerimana and other efficient players whereas Gasogi will be led by their talisman Theodor Malipangou as well as rising star Serge Kabanda who netted a double against Rayon Sports.
"It is not going to be easy. Gasogi are a good side but we are bent on defeating them. We are well poised for the encounter." Muhazi star Joseph Sackey told Times Sport
Gasogi’s technical team may give many of their youngsters a chance to feature against Muhazi as they hope to get them accustomed to top football.
