Billy Irakoze may not be a household name at the moment, but he looks set to be one. At his first solo concert dubbed ‘Billy Live Concert’, he gave a stellar two-hour performance to gospel music-lovers at Kigali Serena Hotel on March 4.

At his first solo concert dubbed ‘Billy Live Concert’, he gave a stellar two-hour performance to gospel music-lovers at Kigali Serena Hotel on March 4.
One thing that the audience witnessed is that he is as good at singing as he is at dancing.
Irakoze livened the auditorium with hits from his latest album- Amen, like Kubwubuntu, Halleluya, Niwowe mfite, Umunyamateka, Mbayeho and Days of Elijah. The singer received a standing ovation from the audience for his terrific performance.
The singer was later joined on stage by Gaby Irene Kamanzi for their collaboration Ndumutsinzi. Aline Gahongaire sang her track Warakoze.
The show, that started at 7p.m, featured performances from Maranatha Men, who took the crowd through their superb praise and worship sessions, performing tracks like Izina rikomeye and Am gonna dwell on everything good. The couple, Ben Serugo and Chance Mbanza also took to the stage, performing their hits Igorogota and Urukundo rw’Imana.
The concert ended at 10p.m.
