Innocent Nyarwaya, recognised by his stage name Yago Pon Dat, has been selected as one of the 50 global artists by KeepClear Records NL, a Netherlands-based record label, for their initiative known as the 'International Artist Project.'
The hitmaker behind 'Suwejo' is set to represent Uganda, his country of birth, in this international project.

The International Artists Project, created by Brandon Beckwith, Owner, CEO, and Project Leader at KeepClear Records NL, is a venture aiming to connect and showcase musicians born in each of the 197 countries around the globe.
The project is set to unfold in four parts, comprising the release of international albums. Part 1, featuring artists from the first 3 countries, has already been released. Part 2, encompassing the first 50 countries, is currently in production. Following this, Part 3 will showcase artists from the first 100 countries, with progress at 51 out of 197, and finally, Part 4 will encompass all 197 countries.
The label introduced Yago Pon Dat to a wider audience by sharing his bio on its social media platforms on the night of January 16.
In an interview with The New Times, Yago expressed his delight at the opportunity, stating: "I feel very happy to be representing Uganda and, much more importantly, the country that raised me, Rwanda. It's not a permanent collaboration but being picked for this opportunity to represent both nations will undoubtedly boost my career.”
About Yago Pon Dat
Yago Pon Dat, an artist with roots in Uganda and upbringing in Rwanda, specializes in R&B/Afro beats (Afro Fusion) and extends his creative endeavors to content creation on YouTube. He harbored a long-standing dream of creating music from a young age.
In high school, Yago practiced journalism, and earned recognition through multiple awards for his writing and participation in radio broadcasting. Later, he ventured into television work, concurrently taking on the role of a promoter.
He transitioned from journalism to initiate the 'YAGO TV SHOW' YouTube Channel, where he occasionally shared interviews with celebrities and featured guests with stories to tell. In 2022, he released his debut single, and on December 22, 2023, he launched his first album. Yago Pon Dat's YouTube channel has steadily grown, accumulating over 547,000 subscribers.
