Indorwa Cricket Club takes on Vikings in the ongoing V.R NAIDU Family Twenty20 Men’s tournament on Saturday at Kicukiro cricket ground.
Both teams are in Pool B along with Kerala Hunters, Kigali Cricket Club and RCA-Development Team.
Indorwa captain Eric Hirwa is very confident about his side’s chances to win not only today’s game but also to go all the way to the title.
"We have total respect for Vikings. They are a new club and have bought some good players from the other clubs but we shall into the game to win,” he said, adding that they have a big squad with experienced players who can beat any team in local cricket.
Indorwa, one of the oldest clubs in Rwandan cricket, have never won this tournament since its inauguration in 2013.
Meanwhile, Vikings captain Harun Samal also believes that his team is ready for the challenge ahead in their first season. "We have very good players, who are all committed to the cause and the ready to make history in Rwandan cricket,” he noted.
