Dear people 

What is going on? The world seems to get more chaotic by the year. Why can’t we get along? Why isn’t mortality enough to make us humble? Is everyone who doesn’t agree with you wrong or ignorant? Who died and made you the only spring of knowledge? So that your truth is the only truth.

Dear people, Oh what peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear! All because we do not live and let live.

So you found a man so wonderful he might as well be the incarnation of God. And now marriage is the best thing that has ever happened to you. Congratulations to you. But do not take this as a cue to provide unsolicited advice to your single friends to drop everything and find a man. Everyone has their own path.

Speaking of paths, it’s great when your career choice leads you to success. And you should feel free to give advice to those who are striving for the same. But do not be arrogant as to speak wretchedness unto those who do not walk in your footsteps. There are different measures of, and paths to success.

And to the religious fanatics, it’s wonderful that you walk in miracles. And that your God is so big that there’s nothing he cannot do. But to enter a classroom full of people from different walks of life and force everyone to stand up and pray? Where do you get the authority to shove your beliefs down people’s throats?

If you are atheist that’s okay too. It takes a lot of courage to have no use for a god. To believe that everything in your mortal life is within your power. You’re too learned to believe in a supernatural being that lives beyond the sky. But a lot of people find peace, happiness and comfort in their beliefs. It’s not your place to call them foolish.

If you don’t eat meat because you believe that animals were put on earth only for decoration that’s okay. But don’t subject your family members to your way of life. Your children should especially have the freedom to choose what they want to eat in this short and hard life.

The bottom line is that everyone should just learn to relax. We should learn to remember that we are temporary. We come with nothing and go with nothing. And when we go, we become memories at best. That’s if we are lucky enough to be worthy of being written about in history books. Otherwise after a while nobody knows we were even here.

So why should a stranger’s choice of clothing be bothersome to you? So what if she is wearing a short skirt? Because it is amoral not to cover up? Haven’t some of the most heinous crimes been committed by people covered from head to toe? Where is the morality in that?

Just live and let live.
