It was my dream to see the national carrier of Remarkable Rwanda fly directly into Mumbai, which would not only avoid delays of having to fly via Nairobi , Addis Ababa or Doha, but also offer the fastest connection between two great cities – Mumbai and Kigali.

This dream will soon be a reality in barely six weeks.

RwandAir made waves at the recently concluded Outbound Travel Market in Mumbai with some unbelievable fare structures not just to Kigali but to all destinations on the African continent, to which the airline operates.

To make the offer even more appealing, they have offered fabulous commission structures to travel agents and tour operators.

Your article mentions that Rwanda is positioning itself as a services, tourism and conference hub.

Nothing could facilitate this strategy more than having direct flights between important cities like Mumbai, London and New York (routes that RwandAir plans to open in the near future).

Added to the expanding airline network will be the new and modern international airport at Bugesera.
