APR vs IPRC-Kigali 8pmIt promises to be an epic evening of fireworks when basketball league powerhouses Espoir and Rwanda Energy Group lock horns today at Amahoro indoor stadium.

Both sides are serious contenders for the basketball league title this season. Today’s game is an encounter that either side will not let go without a serious fight.

Debutants REG enter today’s game joint top with reigning champions Patriots, each with 15 points after eight rounds played, hence a win would see them reclaim the top spot for the first time.

Coached by former Espoir head coach Jean Bahufite, pundits believe REG are favourites to carry the day, thanks to their squad of who is who in local basketball. REG squad comprises of great players in the league that includes former Espoir centre player Bievenue Ngandu, former Patriots skipper Ali Kubwimana Kazingufu, and former Uganda’s City Oilers star Kami Kabange.

"This will be our last game in the first round and we want to finish it on top. We are taking it as a final. I believe we shall win it because I know very well the opponent I am going to face,” said Bahufite
