Rayon Sports head coach Djuma Masudi has warned his players not to take their second tie against El Wau Salam for granted despite thrashing the South Sudan side 4-0 in the first leg in Juba last week. The two teams play the second leg tie this afternoon at Amahoro national stadium.
"We didn’t concede a goal which is very important for us, that was our first target, and now we are going to look for another comfortable win at home as we continue to prepare for the next round. However the players need to have the same altitude they exhibited in the first leg and not think that we have progressed before we even play the game,” said Masudi
The Rwandan Peace Cup winners registered their biggest away win in a CAF competition after walloping the South Sudan giants 4-0 in the preliminary round first leg last week. El Wau Salam will need to score more than four goals without reply to eliminate Rayon Sports.
"We will try to change tactics as we will be looking for goals and we will make some changes to give other players a chance to play” he added
In the first leg, midfielder Savio Dominique Nshuti put the visitors ahead in the 55th minute before Pierrot Kwizera netted in the 68th minute to make it 2-0. Nova Bayama added the third goal in the 80th minute while Malian striker Moussa Camara completed the rout in the 90th minute.
The aggregate winner will take on Onze Creatures of Mali in the first qualification round.
