When you come across strangers, what do you do? This reminds me of what my parents like saying, "Never talk to strangers.” Does this ring a bell?

Though it is good to be polite to people we do not know, children should avoid strangers until they are sure that they are not dangerous. We should always take care,  because these people might be good or bad.

Yes I know you would say that it is your right to have friends and to be friendly. That is ok because I agree with this.
However, one major concern is when it comes to choosing the right friends.

Not everyone who wants to become your friend is honest with you. I think we all know that bad peer groups have a negative impact on our lives as children. We should therefore avoid or leave any peer groups that do wrong things.

It takes wisdom to choose good friends. Good friends will make our lives better and encourage us. Good friends correct and advise us when we go wrong, they make us think positively and always challenge us to be better children.

So as you get enlightened about your right to friendship, make sure you seek advice from the people you trust.
